Dr. Guillermo D. Márquez, graduated from the Autonomous University of San Luis Potosi in 1988. He completed his internship at Cook County Hospital and Norwegian American Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Márquez trained in General Surgery at Columbus Hospital in Chicago, Illinois and Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New Hyde Park, New York. He moved to McAllen in 1996, where he has been in private practice. Dr. Márquez performs his surgeries at both Mission Regional Medical Center and Doctor's Hospital at Renaissance .

Dr. Jesus E. Villarreal graduated from the University of Texas-Medical Branch in Galveston in 2009. He completed his 5 year surgery residency at Mercer University School of Medicine Medical Center of Central Georgia. Dr. Villarreal also trained at the University of South Carolina, School of Medicine Greenville Health System where he specialized in complex hernia management and minimally invasive surgery. Dr. Villarreal returned to the Rio Grande Valley in 2015 to serve the community he grew up in.
